📖 The Editor's Cut

A fictional newspaper article about a playground repair began with a long account of the writer's bus ride. The editor asked which details helped readers understand the repair. The writer removed most of the bus description and added who repaired the climbing frame, what was changed, and when the playground would reopen. One sentence about seeing the closed gate stayed because it introduced the problem. Revision did not mean deleting every personal detail. It meant deciding which details served the article's purpose.

1. Why is most of the bus description removed?

2. Name two useful facts added.
