📖 Why Metal Feels Colder
A metal desk leg and a wooden desktop can sit in the same room and be nearly the same temperature, yet the metal may feel colder. Metal conducts thermal energy more quickly than wood. When your warm hand touches metal, heat leaves your hand faster, creating a stronger sensation of cold.
